Get in touch
The fastest way to reach us is the feedback form — it goes straight to a real inbox, and you can send it without an account.
If you're reporting a problem with a specific roast, open it first and use the feedback link on that page — it attaches the roast id automatically, which makes it much faster to diagnose.
Common problems
My video won't upload
Clips are capped in length and file size. Long clips are trimmed with the picker before upload — pick the window containing the actual swing, not the walk-up. If a video from your camera roll stalls, try recording a fresh one; some slow-motion and HDR formats carry unusual metadata that older browsers mishandle.
It says my swing isn't a swing
The model checks that it's actually looking at a golf swing before it spends money roasting it. Film from down-the-line or face-on, get your whole body in frame, and keep the phone still — propped against a bag works better than handheld.
The skeleton overlay looks wrong
Joint detection runs on your own device from the video. It struggles in low light, with baggy clothing, or when part of your body leaves the frame. Better light and a wider shot fix most cases.
It says I'm out of roasts
The free tier includes a set number of roasts per rolling seven-day window. Rolling, not weekly — they free up as your older ones age out, so you don't have to wait for a reset day. Shankdit Pro removes the limit entirely.
Subscriptions
Shankdit Pro is available monthly or yearly, and the yearly plan starts with a free trial. The only difference between free and Pro is the limit on how many swings you can analyze — every feature, including the full breakdown and the leaderboard, is available on the free tier.
Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are billed through your Apple ID. To view, change, or cancel one, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the current period ends. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Deleting your swings
You can unpublish any roast from its page, which removes it from the leaderboard immediately. To have a swing deleted outright, send the roast's link through the feedback form. Note that Shankdit works anonymously — if you've never signed in, we have no way to verify that a deletion request comes from the person who uploaded it, so send it from the device that made the roast. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
Reporting content
Every roast on the leaderboard has a report option. Reported entries are hidden immediately rather than queued — if something shouldn't be there, it comes down first and gets looked at second.
